FAQ
Sizing and fit
Every pair we list is Slazenger. Sizes are EU throughout.
Your usual EU size. If you sit between two sizes, take the bigger one.
Men's pairs run EU 40 to 48, with 47 and 48 on fewer styles. Women's run EU 36 to 41, kids and junior EU 26 to 40. No single model covers the whole range, so the sizes listed on a product page are the ones we hold for that pair.
Put a sheet of paper on the floor against a wall and stand on it with your heel touching the wall. Mark the tip of your longest toe, then measure from the wall to the mark in centimetres. Measure both feet and work from the longer one.
One EU size is two thirds of a centimetre, so half a centimetre is most of a size. That is usually the difference between a pair you wear and a pair you send back.
Every size here is EU, the way Slazenger marks the shoes. Rather than trusting a conversion chart, measure your foot in centimetres and compare it against a pair you already wear. Brands do not agree on where a UK 8 sits.
No, because each colourway is listed as its own product. Size is the only choice on the page. To see the same model in another colour, search its name: Warren, Wera, Wilson and so on.
Delivery
Everything ships from our own warehouse in Rotterdam. What it costs depends on where you are. Standard rates are below. Express is €10 in the EU and €30 to Norway and Switzerland; it is not offered to Cyprus, Finland, Greece, Malta or Sweden.
To 29 countries: the 27 EU member states, plus Norway and Switzerland. We do not deliver to the United Kingdom. Slazenger footwear is handled there by a different licensee, which also rules out Jersey, Guernsey, the Isle of Man and Gibraltar.
A few territories attached to countries we do serve fall outside the area as well: the Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla, the Aland Islands, the French overseas departments, the Faroe Islands and Greenland. If your address is outside the 29, the checkout will not offer you a delivery method.
Delivery is free to all 27 EU countries, with no minimum order. Norway and Switzerland are the two exceptions.
- All 27 EU countries: free
- Norway: €20 per order
- Switzerland: €20 per order
Norway and Switzerland sit outside the EU customs union, so those parcels are customs shipments: declared, cleared and moved on an export service. The €20 covers our side of that. Import VAT and the carrier's handling fee are charged to you on delivery, and returns from these two countries have a few extra rules.
Your order is picked and packed in our own warehouse in Rotterdam. We do not pick or pack at weekends or on Dutch public holidays.
Once the parcel is with the carrier the clock is theirs, and these are estimates: usually two to five working days across most of the EU, four to seven for Sweden, Finland, Greece, Malta and Cyprus, and five to nine for Norway and Switzerland, where the parcel clears customs on the way.
Yes, every order ships tracked. The shipping confirmation email carries the tracking number and a link to the carrier. The first scan can take up to a working day to appear, so an empty tracking page just after dispatch is normal.
Usually yes, and none of it comes to us. Both countries sit outside the EU customs union, so your parcel is declared at the border, your own authorities charge import VAT, and the carrier adds a clearance or declaration fee. We cannot prepay those and we cannot refund them.
Norway: we are not registered for VOEC, so the carrier collects 25% import VAT plus its own clearance fee, at least NOK 206, on delivery.
Switzerland: import VAT is 8.1% and is waived when the calculated tax works out at CHF 5 or less, so a single pair sent by standard delivery usually clears without import VAT, though the carrier may still charge a handling fee. Larger orders and express parcels pay the 8.1% plus the carrier's clearance charge, at least CHF 26.50.
Returns and refunds
Fourteen days to change your mind on any pair, and another fourteen to post it back.
Yes, on every pair we sell. You have 14 days from the day your parcel arrives to tell us you are withdrawing, no reason needed, and another 14 days after that to get the shoes back to us. That is the EU right of withdrawal and it is not something we can shorten.
Fill in the withdrawal form, or email info@paarline.com with your order number. Sending the form is your formal notice and it counts from the moment you send it, not from when we reply. We confirm every withdrawal by email, quoting what you sent and when it reached us, and we reply on working days with the return address and what to do. You never need our approval before posting a pair back.
Try them on the way you would in a shop: indoors, on a clean floor. That never costs you your refund. Wear beyond that, and we may deduct the loss in value. The same goes for a missing shoebox, insole or lace, so send the shoebox back with them, packed inside an outer box.
You do, when it is a change of mind. A tracked parcel of this size costs about €7 to €9 within the Netherlands and roughly €15 to €40 from other EU countries, depending on the country and the carrier. A faulty pair or a wrong item is a different case and the postage is on us. Get in touch and we arrange it.
Within 14 days of your withdrawal notice. We may wait until the shoes reach us or you show proof that you posted them, whichever happens first. It goes back to the payment method you used, with no fee, and it includes the cheapest standard delivery we offered on that order. If you paid for a faster option, we refund the standard rate.
Email info@paarline.com with your order number and the size you want, and we will tell you what to do with the pair you have. If the size you need is on the site, ordering it straight away is the quickest route, because it ships before the first pair gets back to Rotterdam.
Norway: your right to withdraw under the angrerettlova applies in full. You pay the return postage, we refund the delivery charge you paid us at our standard Norway rate, and nothing else comes off beyond any loss in value. The import VAT and the declaration fee the carrier charged at your door are not ours to refund. You reclaim the VAT from Tolletaten and we send you the export documents.
Switzerland: Swiss law gives no automatic right to cancel an online order, so ours is contractual, on the same terms as in the EU. You pay the return postage and we refund the delivery charge you paid us at our standard Switzerland rate. If the carrier bills us a clearance or handling fee for the return parcel, it is part of the return cost and comes off the refund; import duty and VAT on the returned pair do not. It is clause 12 of the refund policy.
Ordering, paying and reaching us
Email info@paarline.com or call +31 (0)10 299 0860. We answer on working days.
Klarna and Bancontact, plus Visa, Mastercard, Maestro and American Express. Shop Pay, Apple Pay and Google Pay are there too. Which of those you see depends on your device and country, and the full list appears at checkout before you pay.
The checkout runs on Shopify's own payment pages. Your card number goes to the payment provider, never to us. We do not see it and we do not store it.
Prices are in euros, include VAT, and are the same in all 29 countries. Inside the EU the checkout total is the end of it and there is nothing to pay on arrival. A delivery to Norway or Switzerland is an export, so no EU VAT is charged and your invoice shows 0% VAT. The price does not change, but import charges are collected at your door.
WELCOME10 takes 10% off a first order. Sign up and the code appears on screen straight away. It is not emailed, so copy it before you close the window. One per customer. Two pairs of shoes in one order get 5% off automatically, and three or more get 10%. Sliders do not count, and the multi-pair discount cannot be combined with WELCOME10.
Email info@paarline.com with your order number as soon as you notice. While the parcel is still with us we can change the address or stop it. Once the carrier has it, only the carrier can redirect it, and they may charge for that. Either way you keep the 14-day right to withdraw once it arrives.
Email us the model and the size and we will tell you whether we expect it back. Stock comes in batches, so a size that is gone today is not always gone for good.
Email info@paarline.com or call +31 (0)10 299 0860 on a working day. Put your order number in the message if it is about a parcel or a return; it saves a round trip. The shop is run by Paarline B.V., Kiotoweg 70, 3047 BG Rotterdam, the Netherlands. KvK 42111729, VAT NL869784067B01.
