Refund policy
Last updated: 23 September 2026
You have 14 days to change your mind about anything you buy from RapidSneakers, and you do not have to say why. This page explains how that works, what happens to your money, and what to do if a pair arrives faulty or is not what you ordered.
We deliver in the European Union and to Norway and Switzerland. Clauses 1 to 11 below apply to every order. Switzerland has one extra clause (12) and Norway has one (13), because both sit outside the EU customs area.
1. Your right to change your mind
If you live in the EU or in Norway, you have 14 days from the day the shoes arrive to tell us you are withdrawing from the purchase, without giving a reason. This is the herroepingsrecht under Dutch law (Article 6:230o of the Dutch Civil Code), which implements Directive 2011/83/EU, and in Norway the equivalent right under the angrerettlova.
The 14 days start on the day you, or someone you named other than the carrier, physically receives the order. If your order arrives in several parcels, the period starts on the day the last item arrives.
Swiss law does not give an automatic right to cancel an online order. We give you the same right anyway, by contract and on the same terms; clause 12 covers customs on the return.
2. How to tell us
Tell us inside those 14 days that you are withdrawing. Any clear statement is enough. You can:
- Email info@paarline.com with your order number and the items you are sending back, or
- Use the withdrawal form on our site at rapidsneakers.com/pages/withdrawal, or
- Send us the model withdrawal form at the bottom of this page, by email or by post.
You do not need our permission or a return authorisation number. Sending the notice inside the 14 days is what counts. If you send it on the last day, you are on time.
3. Sending the items back
Once you have told us, you have another 14 days to send the items back. Posting them within that period is enough, they do not have to have arrived by then.

Put your order number in or on the parcel so we can match it to your account.
4. Who pays the return postage
You do. We do not run a returns portal and we do not sell prepaid return labels, so there is nothing we deduct from your refund for postage. You book the return yourself, with any carrier you like, and you pay that carrier directly for a tracked shoe-box parcel from your country. As a guide, the national postal services charge about €7 to €9 for a tracked parcel of this size within the Netherlands, about €15 to €20 from Belgium or Germany, about €22 from France, and about €30 to €40 from further away, for example Italy or Sweden. Other carriers may be cheaper or dearer. Email info@paarline.com with your order number if you want us to confirm the return address before you send it. Use a service with track and trace and keep the proof of postage. If the pair never reaches us and you cannot show that you posted it, there is no refund.
We pay the return postage when the item is faulty, damaged in transit, or not what you ordered. In that case contact us first and we will send you a return label or reimburse what you paid to send it back.
5. Try them on the way you would in a shop
Indoors, on a clean floor, over socks. You are allowed to handle the shoes enough to find out whether they fit and whether you like them. That never costs you anything.
If they come back with wear on the outsole, creasing across the upper, scuffs, marks, odour, or with the insoles, laces, spare laces or box missing, they are worth less than they were, and we deduct that loss in value from your refund. The deduction is the difference between the price you paid and what the pair is still worth in the state it came back in, measured by what it still fetches as used or second-grade stock. For every deduction we tell you the exact amount and the reason, and we send photographs.
6. Keep the box
The shoebox is part of the product. Post the shoebox inside an outer box or bag; do not stick a label directly on it.
7. When you get your money
We refund you without undue delay, and at the latest within 14 days of the day we receive your withdrawal notice. We may hold the refund until the shoes reach us or you send us proof that you posted them, whichever comes first. We refund to the payment method you used, and we never charge a fee for processing a refund. How quickly it appears on your statement after we send it depends on your bank or payment provider.
The refund covers what you paid for the items plus the standard delivery cost you paid on the way out. If you paid for a faster or more expensive delivery option than our standard one, we refund the standard rate.
8. Sending back part of an order
You can. But if returning part of an order drops the remaining order below the level that earned you a discount, we recalculate the order at the price that would actually have applied, and the difference comes off the refund. The outbound delivery cost is refunded when you cancel the entire order.
9. Send back everything that came with it
Free gifts and promotional items are part of the deal that you are withdrawing from. If they do not come back, their value comes off the refund.
10. Parcels you refuse or never collect
If a parcel comes back to us because it was refused at the door or left uncollected, and you have not told us you are withdrawing, we refund the goods minus the return freight we actually paid to get them back.
11. Proof
Keep the proof of postage and the tracking number until your refund arrives. If the pair has not reached us yet, that proof is what releases the refund.
12. Returns from Switzerland
Switzerland is outside the EU customs and VAT area, and Swiss law gives no automatic right to cancel an online order. We give you the same right by contract: 14 days, and clauses 1 to 11 govern your return exactly as they do for an order in the EU. We refund the delivery charge you paid us at our standard Switzerland rate.
Your return parcel crosses a customs border on its way back to us. If the carrier bills us a clearance or handling fee for it, that fee is part of the cost of returning, which is yours: we deduct it from your refund and show the carrier's invoice reference on your credit note. We do not deduct import duty or VAT on the returned pair.
Import VAT and any clearance fee the carrier charges you on delivery are yours, not ours. We never receive that money and we cannot refund it.
13. Returns from Norway
Norway is outside the EU customs area, but your right to withdraw under the Norwegian angrerettlova applies in full, and clauses 1 to 11 are what govern your return. You pay the return postage: about NOK 260 to NOK 330 with Posten. We refund the delivery charge you paid us at our standard Norway rate.
We are not registered for VOEC. Import VAT and the carrier's declaration fee are therefore charged to you on delivery. That money goes to the Norwegian authorities and to the carrier, we never receive it, so we cannot refund it. If you withdraw, you reclaim it from Tolletaten, and we will send you whatever export documents you need.

14. Faulty, damaged or wrong items
This is separate from the 14-day right above, and it lasts a great deal longer.
Everything we sell must be what you could reasonably expect from it. If a pair has a manufacturing fault, arrives damaged, or is not the model or size you ordered, email info@paarline.com with your order number and a photo of the problem. We will repair it, replace it, or refund you, and we pay the postage both ways.
Under Dutch law, a defect that shows up in the first year after delivery is presumed to have been there when the item was delivered, unless we can show otherwise. After that year, you keep your rights, but the fault may need to be established. Report a defect within a reasonable time after you notice it. Reporting within two months of noticing is always in time.
Normal wear does not count as a defect. Sneakers worn daily will show it, and that is not a fault in the product.
15. Exchanges
We do not run a separate exchange process, because the fastest route to the right size is usually simpler: order the size you want so it is reserved before the stock moves, then send the first pair back under the 14-day right. The refund for the returned pair follows clause 7.
If the size you need is sold out, email us and we will tell you when it is back.
16. Model withdrawal form
You are not obliged to use this form, but you may. Complete it and send it to us only if you want to withdraw from the contract.

17. Complaints and disputes
Tell us first: email info@paarline.com with your order number. We confirm receipt within a few working days and give you a substantive answer within 14 days.
If we cannot resolve it between us, you can take the dispute to the competent court. We are not affiliated with a sector complaints board or any other certified dispute resolution body, so we cannot refer you to one. If you live in another EU country, Norway or Switzerland, the European Consumer Centre in your country gives free advice on cross-border purchases and can approach us on your behalf: eccnet.eu.
