Shipping policy

Last updated: 23 September 2026

Every order leaves our warehouse in Rotterdam. This page explains when we dispatch, where we send, what it costs, and what happens when a parcel goes wrong.

Where we ship

We deliver to 29 countries: every member state of the European Union, plus Norway and Switzerland.

The EU member states are Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden.

We do not ship to the United Kingdom. Slazenger footwear is handled in the UK by a different licensee, so orders to England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are not something we can take. The same applies to Jersey, Guernsey, the Isle of Man and Gibraltar.

A few places inside or attached to countries we do serve are outside our delivery area: the Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla in Spain, the Aland Islands in Finland, the French overseas departments and territories, the Faroe Islands and Greenland. We do not deliver anywhere else in the world, and we cannot ship to a PO box or a poste restante address.

If your country is not on the list, the checkout will not offer a delivery method for it. That is the only place the decision is made, so an address we cannot serve simply cannot be paid for.

Shipping rates

Delivery is free to every EU country we ship to. There is no minimum order value: one pair ships free, the same as five.

Standard delivery to Norway and Switzerland is a flat €20 per order, at any order value. Delivery there is never free, because those parcels are customs shipments: declared, cleared and carried on an export service, and that is what the carrier charges us.

Express delivery is also offered at checkout, at €10 within the EU and €30 to Norway and Switzerland. It is not available to Cyprus, Finland, Greece, Malta or Sweden.

The rate for your address is shown at checkout before you pay.

Prices and VAT

Prices in the shop include Dutch VAT and are the same in all 29 countries. For a delivery inside the EU the price you see at checkout is the final price: there are no customs formalities and no import charges, because the parcel never leaves the EU customs union.

A delivery to Norway or Switzerland is an export. No Dutch VAT is charged on it, and your invoice shows 0% VAT with the note "Export, VAT zero-rated, Article 146 EU VAT Directive". The price you pay stays the same.

Customs, import VAT and handling in Norway and Switzerland

Parcels to Norway and Switzerland cross a customs border, and the charges raised there are yours, not ours. We never receive that money, we cannot calculate or prepay it, and we cannot refund it.

Norway. We are not registered for VOEC. The carrier collects 25% Norwegian import VAT plus its own clearance fee, at least NOK 206, when the parcel is delivered. That money goes to Tolletaten and to the carrier. If you withdraw from the purchase, you reclaim it from Tolletaten, and we will send you whatever export documents you need.

Switzerland. Swiss import VAT is 8.1%. Switzerland waives the levy when the calculated tax comes to CHF 5 or less, so a single pair sent by standard delivery usually clears without import VAT, though the carrier may still charge a handling fee. Larger orders and express parcels pay the 8.1% plus the carrier's clearance charge, at least CHF 26.50.

Returns from Switzerland follow the same terms as returns within the EU. If the carrier bills us a clearance or handling fee for the return parcel, that fee is part of the return cost and comes off your refund (clause 12 of our refund policy). Returns from Norway follow the Norwegian angrerettlova in full: you pay the return postage, and the refund policy sets what may be deducted.

When we dispatch

Orders are picked and packed in our own warehouse in Rotterdam. We do not pick or pack at weekends or on Dutch public holidays, and sale periods and the run-up to the holidays are busier than usual.

You get an email as soon as your order is confirmed, and a second one with a track and trace link when the parcel leaves us. In any event we deliver within 30 days of the order, unless we agree a different date with you. If we cannot make that, you may cancel the order and get your money back.

How long delivery takes

Delivery time depends on the destination and on the carrier's network. Parcels inside the Netherlands and to neighbouring countries usually arrive within a few working days of dispatch. Longer distances, islands and remote areas take longer, and parcels to Norway and Switzerland spend extra time in customs clearance. The tracking link in your shipping email is the most accurate estimate available at any moment, because it comes from the carrier and updates as the parcel moves.

Delays caused by weather, strikes or customs are outside our control, but they are not your problem to solve alone. If a parcel stalls, email us and we will chase the carrier.

Delivery by UPS

We ship with UPS. Every order leaves our warehouse in Rotterdam on a UPS service, tracked to your door. Your shipping confirmation email has the UPS tracking number and the link to follow it.

Whether a signature is needed, and whether an undelivered parcel goes to a neighbour or to a pickup point, is decided by the carrier and by the delivery options you choose. Depending on your country and the parcel, UPS may let you redirect it or change the delivery day from the tracking page.

Your delivery address

Check the address before you confirm the order. If something is wrong, email info@paarline.com straight away with your order number. We can change the address as long as the parcel has not left us. Once it is with the carrier we cannot redirect it, although you often can, through the carrier's own tracking page.

If a parcel comes back to us because the address was incomplete, because it was refused, or because nobody collected it from the pickup point, we will contact you. You can have it sent again, in which case the new delivery is charged, or cancel the order. What we refund in that case is set out in clause 10 of our refund policy.

Damaged or missing parcels

Until the parcel is in your hands, or in the hands of someone you named, the risk is ours. If it arrives damaged, arrives with the wrong contents, or does not arrive at all, email info@paarline.com with your order number and a photo where there is something to photograph. We will trace the parcel with the carrier and either send a replacement or refund you. There is no deadline for reporting this beyond a reasonable time after you notice it, and you never need to open a case with the carrier yourself.

Returns

Changed your mind, or something is wrong with the pair you received? See our refund policy for the 14-day right of withdrawal, the return address, how refunds are paid, and the separate clauses that apply to Switzerland and Norway.
